Cool Gentleman
There is hardly any other place in the world where elegance, glamour, high-tech as well as old and new come together in such a spectacular way as in Monte Carlo on the coast of the city-state of Monaco. The legendary Formula 1 race in the time-honored streets of the principality is considered to be one of the most difficult of all and always ensures high excitement in motor sports. But even if you are not a motorsport fan, you will like this little EDC companion.

The choice of name for this great Ansø knife could hardly be more appropriate.

The incredibly clear line and the choice of materials that go hand in hand with it, make the Monte Carlo appear both discreet and noble and sporty and relaxed. The handle is an open titanium construction, which is connected on the back by a colored anodized titanium backspacer. The open design makes it very easy to clean the knife after use, for example if dirt is on the inside.

For the blade, the veteran and excellent RWL-34 steel was used, which has proven to be an excellent blade steel over the years. This alloy, invented by Damasteel in Sweden, is produced using a powder metallurgy process and is basically an update to the American and popular 154CM steel. By the way, the abbreviation RWL stands for Robert Waldorf Loveless, one of the most important knifemakers of all time, who loved to use this steel for his blades. RWL-34 has a high edge retention and a very good corrosion resistance so that you can work with food completely harmless.

The real highlight of the Monte Carlo, however, besides the great looks, is the closure technology. Strictly speaking, you don't have a real lock here, but a so-called friction folder. This means that the blade is only held by two detent balls to the right and left of the blade root, which gives you a very smooth blade action and an incredibly defined engagement of the blade.

But what does V2 actually mean?
Jens Anso has once again thought about how he can improve the Monte Carlo. The result is new titanium screws, a uniform width of the handle scales, and even better and more precise machining processes. Your Monte Carlo comes with a small leather sheath that protects the surface from scratches when you just want to put the knife in your pocket.

Super Messer, Preis stimmt, sensationeller Service

Anso Casino Titan Amber
Version: Amber titanium, pocket clip and backspacer grey
Jens Anso – Casino Casino Royale With the Monte Carlo, Jens Anso has already created a true EDC classic – now the new model Casino follows. The ingenuity of the Monte Carlo (affectionately called "Monty" by us) lies on the one hand in its modern and unpretentious appearance, the non-existent locking mechanism and the resulting legal carrying of the knife in public. With the Casino, Anso once again uses the construction with the two locking springs embedded in the handle scales, which hold the blade but do not lock it. This time, however, the look is completely different from that of the Monte Carlo. Where the Monte Carlo had a cool, industrial charm, the Casino appears much more streamlined and dynamic. The handle of the casino, made of Titanium, appears a little more elegant and round due to its curved shape. The blade is also clearly different from that of the Monte Carlo‘s.The flat grinding ensures optimal cutting performance and the finely tapered tip enables even the most precise cutting work. As with all Anso knives, the Casino uses RWL-34 steel produced by Damasteel in Sweden, which was invented especially for the knifemaking legend Bob Loveless. This alloy is wonderfully suited for the production of blades, because on the one hand it is very resistant against rust, but on the other hand it keeps the sharpness very well.   Grey Titanium / Blue HardwareAs a great color contrast, the 3D milled pocket clip and the backspacer have been anodized in blue, which again underlines the modern look of the knife.Grey Titanium / Satin HardwareThis is the more discreet version with satin hardware.Amber Titanium / Grey HardwareBronze color Deep Carry Clip Another innovation compared to the Monte Carlo is the pocket clip. The clip of the casino is less high and allows a deep carry of the knife. Each Anso knife comes with a leather pouch, handmade bei Jens in his workshop. If you are looking for a legally usable pocket knife in a class of its own, we strongly recommend the new Casino from Jens Ansø. Anso of Denmark Haddock full custom
Anso Haddock Full Custom Relaunch of the 2007 Haddock Damasteel RWL 34 steel Pivotring, Clip and Backspacer blue anodized GRAIL ALARM!!! For fans of Jens Ansø, the announcement that the Haddock was being reworked came as a bit of a sensation. After all, this knife is one of the most famous designs of the Danish knifemaker and still the series version manufactured by Böker in Solingen enjoys great popularity. With the redesign of the Haddock, Ansø has brought the iconic design into 2019 and redesigned the knife from the ground up. The handle is now made entirely of titanium and is a bit slimmer with its slightly rounded handle scales. The surface features a very finely milled groove pattern that gives the Haddock a good grip on the one hand and an interesting look on the other. The locking spring of the titanium framelock has been fitted with a steel insert to prevent wear in contact with the blade root. At the same time, this Steel Insert serves as over-extension protection when the lock is opened. The clip, the backspacer as well as the collar of the axle screw are made of blue anodized titanium, but can optionally be ordered in other colors. It is noteworthy that the 3D milled clip has also been provided with a fine ribbing of the surface. This detail is exemplary of how detail-oriented Ansø works. Nothing is left to chance here. While the handle of the Haddock has been redesigned, Ansø continues to use its modified sheepsfoot shape for the blade. However, here a slightly fatter and more elegant line was chosen, which fits perfectly with the new handle. The steel used is still Damasteel RWL-34, which is very popular with European and South African knifemakers thanks to its excellent edge retention. Like all custom models, the new Haddock is made in Denmark by Jens Ansø himself. Although he mills all parts in high-precision CNC technology, many steps are still done by hand. With the new Haddock, Ansø has actually managed to revive one of his own classics in an interesting way and delivers a result that will delight fans of the designer and knife enthusiasts alike.
