Contoured Pup

The contoured one of the Iron Pups was already a great, compact EDC knife. Now Bergblades are following suit and have introduced a slightly revised version of the knife.

The dimensions of the new Contoured Pups are still identical to the original Flipper version. The 3D milled handle scales, which have a soft rounding and thus lie even better in the hand, have also remained. The large carbon overlays were dispensed with in this version, so this is a classic Framelock folder with handle scales made of 6AL-4V titanium and an external lockbar cutout. However, the green G10 inlays and the small titanium collar around the pivot screw provide a visual highlight. A black DLC coating was also applied as a finish, which provides a monochromatic look.

But not only the handle, but also with the blade made of CPM20CV (basically the US version of Böhler M390 steel) are a real eye-catcher. First of all, there is the thumb stud, with which the blade can be thrown open effortlessly thanks to the built-in ceramic ball bearings. The grind has also been changed in favor of better cutting performance compared to the original version of the Iron Pup. A hollow grind was therefore used here, which also gives the blade an even more awesome look. The two-tone finish of the previous version was abandoned and instead a DLC coating was chosen, which fits perfectly with the titanium handle scales.

As before, the Iron Pup is manufactured at the highest level by WE Knife.
