The most AK1 there is!

There has never been anything like this in the German knife scene. The oldest knife manufacturer in the world collaborates on this project with the guys from Daily Knives (also known for their handle scales for Swiss Army Knives as Daily Customs) and knifemaker Alex Kremer. This unique collaboration is symbolized by the three manufacturer logos on the top of the blade.

The idea behind the AK1 was to produce a knife whose dimensions hit the sweet spot between practical size and good portability. The modern design is absolutely clear and unmistakably Alex Kremer. To get the lightest possible weight and a good cutting performance, a thickness of 2.5mm was applied to the blade, which glide wonderfully easy through the cut material. Böker, together with Alex Kremer and Daily Knives, have chosen the fabulously beautiful Boomerang Damascus by Chad Nichols for this special variant, which you may already know from the Chris Reeve folders. This steel not only looks beautiful, but is considered one of the highest quality Damascus steels available.

The reverse tanto blade shape provides an exciting look and very good cutting properties on a smooth surface. Here the tip sits a tiny bit below the center axis of the knife, so that pulling cuts go very efficiently from the hand.

The handle scales on the hollow milled tang are also a feast for the eyes here: the material is supplied by Fat Carbon from Lithuania and has an uncanny depth with its fine lines. An ingenious detail is the rotating lanyard tab: so you can choose whether you want to carry the knife with or without a lanyard loop. The included leather sheath comes with a sewn-in UltiClip, so the knife can be clipped to the hem of your pants or in your pocket. Thanks to the compact size and light weight, you get a very discreet everyday knife, which can be worn and used every day in the spirit of Daily Knives.
