Spyderco Para 3
Spyderco Para 3 A faithful companionMost major knife manufacturers have developed their classics over the years, which are simply indispensable from the program. Spyderco's Para Military 2 is one of them, along with several other models. But for some, this folding knife is a bit too big for everyday use, especially since there is a legal regulation in some US states that only allows blades up to a length of 3 inches. Spyderco have therefore put the PM2 on a diet and the result can now be admired in the form of the Para 3. Well, it's not quite that simple - after all, the Para 3 is much more than just a shrunken version of the classic.Despite the significantly smaller dimensions, the Para 3 also feels absolutely fantastic in the hand, especially when you use the finger choil at the base of the blade. This indentation allows one to guide the knife very close to the cutting edge and thus be able to transfer a lot of force to the cutting motion. The Compression Lock, which at first glance looks like a liner lock attached to the back, provides maximum security through its locking technology, which is due to the fact that here (unlike the liner lock) a part of the plate is pushed between the blade root and the stop pin. So to destroy the lock, the vertically positioned liner would have to be crushed between the blade and the pin, which is virtually impossible. The fully raised flat grind of the blade, which is made of CPM S45V steel, ensures optimal cutting performance and the fine tapered tip also allows for the most precise work. The blade length of exactly 3inches (hence the name of the knife) is still long enough to handle the vast majority of everyday cutting tasks with ease, yet still makes for a much more compact overall package compared to the Para Military 2. Together with the large lanyard hole and the reversible poket clip (making the knife perfectly suitable for left-handers), you get a really robust yet handy pocket knife with the Para 3, which proves to be an absolutely faithful companion in everyday life.

Spyderco Tenacious Lightweight black
Spyderco Tenacious Lightweight black only 105 grams heavy blade black oxidized Price-Performance-Cracker! The Spyderco Tenacious has been for many knife fans the entry drug at Spyderco. It is simply incredible what you get here for a comparatively small penny. Now the popular Tenacious is also available in LW (Lightweight) variant with coated blade in the All Black Everything version. The handle scales made of FRN (Fibre Reinforced Nylon) have the typical Spyderco pattern, which provides an enormously good grip. So you can work safely with the knife even with slippery or wet hands. The blade is locked securely via the liner lock which can be operated with one hand without any problems. The wire clip is convertible and lets the only 105gr. light knife discreetly disappear in the pocket. The 8Cr13MoV steel used for the blade is already quite rust resistant. Through the robust oxide coating, the material is even less susceptible and also looks extremely good. Just as with the original version, the ergonomics of the Tenacious is also the decisive point with the LW variant. The hand position is simply sensationally good and proves once again that Spyderco chief designer Sal Glesser simply has an incredibly good feel for handle shapes. Here you simply get a knife that is effortless to work with for a long time without being uncomfortable in the hand. So if you're looking for a knife that's great to work with or want to get closer to the Spyderco brand, the Spyderco Tenacious LW is a very clear recommendation.

Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt Black G10 CPM Magnacut Black Blade
Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt Black G10 CPM Magnacut Black Blade  G10 handle CPM Magnacut blade with DLC coatingwith four-way reversible clipThe EDC Classic Don't let the name of this absolute classic scare you - this is not a combat knife or any other kind of military stabbing weapon. The Para Military 2 - or PM2 - is one of the most popular and versatile knives Spyderco has in its lineup. Originally introduced in 2010, this all-around knife has been improved upon over the years, making this cutting tool an absolutely mature design by now.The incredibly ergonomic handle, is designed for maximum control when working with the knife and allows you a variety of ways to wield the blade. Really great is the so-called Fingerchoil (an indentation at the base of the blade), which makes it possible for you to grip the knife very close to the cutting edge to transfer maximum force to the cutting movement. Thanks to the attached filings (jimping), you have an absolutely secure grip even in this position, and the knife never threatens to slip from your grasp thanks to the rough G10 surface of the handle. The steel plates are recessed in the handle material and generously milled out to save weight. An absolute highlight of the PM2s is the Compression Lock. At first glance, this locking technology looks like a rear-positioned liner lock - but a closer look reveals that this is not the case. With the Compression Lock, the liner moves between the blade root and the stop pin on the back. To destroy this lock, the steel liner between the blade root and the pin would have to be crushed, which is virtually impossible. This construction makes the Para Military 2 one of the most stable pocket knives the market has to offer. The blade is made of Spyderco's signature CPM S30V steel, which Sal Glesser was directly involved in developing. The fully raised flat grind provides optimal cutting performance and the fine point allows you to do the finest detail work. Thanks to the reversible pocket clip on both sides, the knife is ideal for both right and left-handed users, while the large lanyard hole allows you to attach a safety strap.

Spyderco Stretch 2 Lightweight K390
Spyderco Stretch 2 Lightweight K390 K390 steel Lighweight alternative to the Para Military 2 105 gram Hard at work The Stretch 2 eked out a shadowy existence for a long time with the Spyderco knives from the Lightweight series. Among Spyderco fans, however, this model has long been an insider tip. Maybe you have ever wanted a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Lightweight? Here you go: the Stretch 2 with the K390 steel blade is basically just that. Well, not exactly, of course. But the similarities between these two models is enormous. First of all, there's the extremely ergonomically shaped handle: thanks to the rounded FRN handle scales, which here have been kept in a very "tooly" steel blue, they fit incredibly well in your hand, so that even longer carving sessions won't cause you any pain. In the middle of the back of the blade you will find Spyderco's famous Mid-Lock, which can be operated effortlessly thanks to the Boye Detent. The biggest similarity to the PM2 can be found in the blade. Thanks to the straight spine and the bulbous tip, you have a real workhorse of a pocket knife. Thanks to the material thickness of only 3mm, cutting with the Stretch is simply fun. The used K390 steel from Böhler is quite an exotic among today's knife steels. This powder-metallurgical tool steel is not only incredibly tough, but also has an insane cutting ability. The only thing you have to keep an eye on is corrosion - like most tool steels, K390 is not completely stainless. The pocket clip you can of course convert to all 4 positions and the Stretch 2 thus adapt to your way of wearing. If the Spyderco PM2 was always a bit too angular for you, if you like exotic blade steels or if you fancy a large work knife, you'll be right at home with this model from Spyderco.
